The curtain goes up
Sixteen leading ladies are on the bill, each with a genre and a picture of her own. The programme holds 32 entries, two apiece, and a click on the marquee takes you to her. She plays the scene from inside and remembers the evening.
Tickets are free. New patrons get 3 days of opening week with every picture open; afterwards standing room allows 10 lines a night and reserved seating lifts the count.
Each playbill now shows its woman's portrait, and a broad banner opens the front page. Further changes get posted here before they open.
